Our story

Pouring pints in Oldfield Park
since 1929.

Three generations of locals have leant on this bar. We're not trying to reinvent the British pub — we're just trying to keep one going, properly.

The Trowbridge House saloon

A community pub, first

Tucked into the corner of Coronation Avenue, Trowbridge House has always been a meeting place for the people of Oldfield Park — quiz nights, wakes, weddings, post-work pints and Sunday-afternoon match days. The faces change but the welcome doesn't.

Under new ownership

Re-opened on 3rd April 2026 under fresh ownership and management, the House has had a top-to-bottom revamp: new bar, fresh paint in our signature deep navy, warm pendant lighting, and an elevated rear terrace with one of the best views over the city. Same warm welcome, new chapter.
